Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
